Billy Talent raises $3,000 for Kids Help Phone
TORONTO (CP) - Billy Talent has made good on a promise to help TROUBLED TEENs.
In October, the Toronto-based punk band promised to donate $1 to the Kids Help Phone every time its song, Nothing To Lose, got radio or TV play. The promotion raised $3,145. "With all the unbelievable generosity that has been displayed over the past month with the tsunami efforts all over the world, it's nice to see that we as humans actually do have hearts and listen to them," said Billy Talent's singer Ben Kowalewicz.
"We must also look in our own backyards and realize how many charitable organizations there are in our own communities that continually need our help and support year round."
Nothing To Lose is about kids who feel disconnected from the rest of the world.
