Overview of Diamond Ranch Academy

Diamond Ranch Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens ages 12 to 17 who exhibit defiance, treatment resistance, impulsive behaviors, ADD/ADHD, low self-esteem, or poor interpersonal skills. Diamond Ranch has four campuses to help keep genders and age groups separate.

The mission of Diamond Ranch Academy is to help youth implement positive, lifelong change through a system of natural rewards and consequences. This system combined with a peer-participant judicial system has proved to be highly effective in helping teens learn to be responsible for their own decisions. The four main types of therapy offered include milieu therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy.

Diamond Ranch Academy's Amazing School

Diamond Ranch Academy's school features all the clubs, sports, and activities that teens would participate in at their home school. In fact due to the unique location, some students may find more activities to participate in than at their home school. These activities when combined with therapy can help leverage a great boost in each students self-esteem.

Due to the unique ranch environment, therapists are able to work closely with youth to build relationships necessary to help youth change themselves.

Families participate through phone calls with their teen and a therapist, online updates, and through family workshops designed to strengthen relationships.

Diamond Ranch Academy’s Real Life Transition Program models life as teens will face it everyday and is available to teens who are looking for extra help before returning home.
