Illinois Program for Troubled Teens Acquired

Rockford, IL- The Mill has a new owner.
The organization provided services for troubled teens until this year when the state relocated dozens of children after allegations of sex and drug abuse.

New Acquisition and Plans for the Mill

Streamwood Behavioral Health Systems has now bought the facility.
It will offer similar services.
It plans to move its Rockton-based therapeutic day school into the Elmwood Road building.
The Mill's Executive Director, Jim Sprite, says local kids, trying to get back on track, once again have a solution in Rockford.
