Overview of Sorensons Ranch School

Sorenson's Ranch School is a therapeutic school for troubled teens ages 13 to 17 who have problems with substance abuse, low self-esteem, learning differences, running away, school expulsion, or extreme mental stress.

Sorenson's Ranch is located in the beautiful, remote mountains of Koosharem, Utah. The program is based on a point and level system in which students receive positive and negative consequences based on their observed behaviors. The school provides students with the structure needed to prevent destructive behaviors, enough freedom to make good choices, and a chance to develop a positive internal value system.

The school is accredited through the Northwest Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities, and offers a wide variety of courses. Students may complete coursework in English, math, social studies, science, Spanish, physical education, art, horsemanship, woodworking, swimming, and more.

Parents can participate through family therapy, phone contact, and by checking their teen's daily progress through online parent services.
